Basil "Baz" Primrose is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso. Baz is a die-hard AFC Richmond fan who watches the matches in The Crown & Anchor with his friends Jeremy and Paul. He is the shortest member of the group but the loudest, as he always screams at the television especially during a match.
When they announced that Ted Lasso and Coach Beard are coming to England from USA to train AFC Richmond, everyone voices their objection against the American coaches, especially when they watch Ted's interview about how much he doesn't know anything about football.
At first, he really hates Ted and calls him a 'twat' because he thinks the American coach is trying to ruin his favorite team, and he always express his opinions about the coach, even at the man himself. When he yells and curses at Ted, he sees Michelle Lasso and Henry Lasso visiting to the pub so he immediately backtracks the insults and smiles widely, but she tells Baz that she's used to be yelled at as a coach's wife.
After some losses and wins, Baz and his friends comes over to Beard and Ted to say 'thanks' for all of the efforts and they know that they did their best, although their best is still shit, which Paul chides Baz not to be rude. They and Mae tells the Americans that they shouldn't hope to win because the hopes only will have a disappointing result.
Baz, Paul, and Jeremy met Beard at The Crown & Anchor after AFC Richmond lost the game to Manchester City F.C. in the FA Cup. The trio discusses for a while about things other than the game, until Beard decides to take them all out on a night out that would take them to a place they would never dare go.
The four of them goes to Bones and Honey, a high class club, and pretending to be Oxford graduates. Beard leaves them in the pub, and they are actually having some fun and wins some pool bets from other patrons. They rent a limo, and finds Beard who is walking alone in the street. They drop Beard off his home, but as a thank you, he gives them a piece of paper which to be given to Renee, a groundskeeper at Nelson Road Stadium to let them spending some time inside the field.
During the match against Brentford, Richmond is able to score a goal and it leads them closer to their club's promotion. They finally win the match in a tie, and everyone is celebrating. All the patrons from the pub including Baz are singing "We are going up!"
