Coach Armada is a minor recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso. He is an assistant coach for the AFC Richmond and a part of coaching staff along with Coach Tony, Nathan Shelley, Coach Beard, and Roy Kent. He has been in the club since Rupert Mannion owned the team and George Cartrick was the manager of the club. When Rebecca Welton takes over the ownership, he stays and keeps doing his job. His first name was never revealed in the show.
He is seen with other team members and even participated in group activities such as karaoke and dancing in clubs. He usually hang out with other players and assistants such as Kas, Will Kitman, Nate, Trevor, Tony, Kukoč, Martin De Maat, Babatunde, and Bhargava.
When Rebecca is redecorating her former husband's office after she took over the club, Coach Armada is seen training the players and yelling in Spanish because one player named Tyler Shannon is from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. He and Coach Tony are watching and encouraging the players to train while their head coach George Cartrick is watching.
After Rebecca fired George, the new manager and coach Ted Lasso and Beard arrived from USA. He and the rest of the team are ignoring the newcomers, but still doing their jobs.
During a match against Watford F.C., Ted decides to replace Jamie Tartt with Robbie Roberts. Everyone is shocked with that decision. The decision is proven to be successful because after Jamie is replaced, the team wins the match and everyone is celebrating on the field. Armada is seen jumping around happily at the dugout, instead.
During a training session, Dani Rojas is injured; which players and staff members attributes this to a curse at the club. Ted decides to call every player and assistant to The Crown & Anchor and tell them to listen to Leslie Higgins and pub owner Mae telling a story about the origin of the curse. Ted suggests that they should come to the treatment room and bring an item from each player at midnight to do a 'ghost cleansing' ritual ceremony.
Everyone throw items into a bin that means something to them and pay respect to prospective footballers and soldiers who fought in the war and had sacrificed things close to them. Armada is seen carrying a trinket, which he kisses before throwing it to the bin. Higgins and Ted then invites a now recovered Dani into the field, to the delight of the team players. They surrounds the burning bin and sings "Richmond 'Till We Die" together, making Richmond truly united.
After winning a match against Brentford F.C., Tom O'Brien accidentally bumps Nate very hard as he runs to the field to celebrate the club's win, and Armada sees what's happening but doesn't do anything as he also the last person who runs to the pitch to celebrate with everyone.
Ted tells a story about Japanese culture of soulmates called "Akai ito de musubareteru" or "The red string of fate" which an invisible red string connects your fingers together with your partner. But instead of their fingers, he and the other coaches tied the strings onto their penises. Armada looks helplessly as the players have difficulties running around, and he looks at Ted in confusion and desperation.
After the last match between Richmond and West Ham United F.C. for the Premier League rank, he is last seen running to the field after the match ended and celebrates the winning with his friends.
