Dana Higgins is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, and Leslie Higgins' third son with his wife, Julie Higgins. The character has been played by two different actors throughout the two seasons.
He first appears during episode three of series one, sitting at the table, eating breakfast with his family and listening some music using his headphones, ignoring his father talking to Rebecca Welton in a flustered way on the phone.
When the other family's car is being fixed, his mother takes his father to the Nelson Road Stadium office before she takes him and the brothers to school in the morning. He says "It's alright, dad." when his mother tells them to thanked their father for fixing the car, and then watches Ted Lasso bumps his head on the door frame of the office building.
He attends along with his four siblings the crucial AFC Richmond game against Manchester City F.C. in an effort to avoid relegation. At the VIP balcony, Higgins introduces his family to Rebecca and Keeley Jones, which his boss makes a comment that he has a lot of children more than she realised.
During Christmas day, Higgins give Dana his present, and asks what he'd get, in which he rolls his eyes and say, "Clearly, it's a surfboard." as his parents apparently wrapped the big surfboard with gift papers. His parents and siblings then tells him to rip the papers and reveal the surfboard. Dana really likes the present and say, "Perfect!"
The family spends time together and invites AFC Richmond players from abroad England for a Christmas dinner. Sam Obisanya asks Richard Montlaur, who is playing a video game with Dana, why he brought along a date to a team Christmas dinner, in which Richard replies that the French people believe that having a beautiful woman around is always a good thing. Jan Maas says that it was not true with the Helter Skelter murders, which prompt some glares from his friends.
During dinner, Higgins acknowledge the players that it is an honor to have them with the family to share the traditions and make new ones. As they are eating their dinner happily, Dana asks Sam to give him some Jollof dish that Tommy Winchester brought. Sam seems surprised that Dan wants to try some goat meat, but happily shares the food.
Because of the lack of table, they are using Dan's new surfboard as a dining table, combine with the kitchen table and a pool table they have in the house. After the toast, the family and the players heard Rebecca and Ted singing with a bunch of street buskers outside their house. Everyone goes outside and happily singing and dancing together in the street.
He is last seen cooking together with his father at his family BBQ party, serving some food to the members of the Richmond Football Club.
