Everton F.C. is an English professional association football club based in Liverpool that competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, and also featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso.
The club's supporters are colloquially known as "Evertonians" or "Blues". Everton's main rivals are Liverpool, whose home stadium at Anfield is just under one mile away from Everton's home at Goodison Park.
AFC Richmond travels to Liverpool to play Everton, and they are not looking forward to this game as Richmond regularly lost to Everton and the last time they won was when Elvis Presley number one song "It's Now or Never" was at number one in the charts, which was 60 years ago. Not to mention their goalkeeper O'Brien tore his hamstring for three weeks which Ted Lasso referred to as he "tore his butt" despite his protest.
Ted is commenting how Coach Beard had also torn his butt three times so Tom shouldn't worry. Thierry Zoreaux takes over in place of Tom against Everton.
Nathan Shelley roasts Isaac McAdoo in front of other players that he's been playing football like a "big dumb pussy" as a motivation. At first, he gets angry, but Nate explains that Isaac is more concerned about looking tough than being tough, and there is a way to be intimidating without being physical.
Nate then also roasts Roy Kent, calling him "old" and "slow", even say that he's no longer has fire inside of him. The tough talk from Nate makes him fired up and he grab the bench in the locker room and flips it, which in turn fired up the team and they win the match.
