Gary is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso, and a sports journalist. He is a supporter of AFC Richmond and regularly attends press conferences and sits in the middle row of the press room. He is one of the journalists present at Ted Lasso's first press conference with Trent Crimm, Sarah, Marcus Adebayo and Lloyd.

When Ted Lasso is appointed head coach and manager at UK Premier League club AFC Richmond, all the journalists express skepticism about Ted's ability to lead the club, particularly when Ted demonstrates a lack of knowledge at the first press conference. Gary asks whether the new coach know how many games are in the Premiere season, and Ted admits that he doesn't know.

Greg and journalists who sit in front then accidentally get sprayed by Ted when he drinks his fizzy water.

Rebecca Welton chides the reporters and the journalists for being rude to Ted and says that the club under Rupert Mannion's ownership rarely wins anything and played in mediocrity, which makes everyone, including Greg cringe, and Lloyd calls it harsh. Rebecca glares and asks Lloyd whether she's wrong for stating the fact, to which he meekly answer, "No."

She then assures everyone that everything is going to change with the way things everyone does things, and that thing is the "Lasso Way". The reporters and the journalists are still skeptical, and Lloyd says that he gives Ted only three weeks before he quit or fails.

Greg is seen with other journalists in the press room after the club's tie game against Brentford F.C. and listening to Ted talk about Trent Crimm's article regarding his panic attack. He and everyone else notices Trent's absence in the press room as Ted talks about mental health issues in athletics.

Marcus ask Ted about Nathan Shelley's press conference where the former Richmond's coach mocked and insulted Ted's coaching ability. Ted humbly answer that Nate is a great coach and the West Ham United F.C. is lucky to have him, but he adds a backhanded compliment that Nate didn't even make fun of his dumb American way. Ted jokingly makes fun of himself, which Gary asks "Why?" and the coach answers that is how the joke works.
