Julie Higgins is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, the wife of Leslie Higgins, and the mother of their five children Lindsay Higgins, Kris Higgins, Dana Higgins, Steve Higgins, and Terry Higgins.
Julie is extremely supportive of her husband, Leslie, even when he is clearly down on himself, especially after knowing that her husband is working very hard. One morning, she drives him to his Nelson Road Stadium office building and notes that thanks to him that they are able to get the other car fixed.
She cheerfully demand that their children, who are sitting the back of the car, to agree with the assessment - which their sons answer with a lack of enthusiasm. After kissing her husband goodbye, she wishes that Rebecca Welton would get a heart disease, indicating that she knows just how awful his boss treating her husband.
She watches Ted Lasso bumps his head on the door frame of the office building very hard and cringes.
She attends along with her children and husband the crucial AFC Richmond game against Manchester City F.C. in an effort to avoid relegation. At the VIP balcony, Higgins introduces his family to Rebecca and Keeley Jones, which his boss makes a comment that he has a lot of children more than she realised. Rebecca notes the number of children Higgins has and exclaim "Jesus Christ!" just as Lindsay enters the VIP area wearing the priest collar. Lindsay greets her as he take his seat, while Rebecca mutters, "Forgive me, Father..."
Julie explains that his son is a cool priest and was conceived out of wedlock, which allows a space for them to explore life's little grey areas. Lindsay also apparently, is more forgiving than other vicars. During the game, Julie screams very loudly "Go Richmond!", even louder than Rebecca.
During Christmas time, the family spends time together and invites AFC Richmond players from abroad England for a Christmas dinner. She and her husband give Dana his present, and asks what he'd get, in which he rolls his eyes and say, "Clearly, it's a surfboard." as his parents apparently wrapped the big surfboard with gift papers. His parents and siblings then tells him to rip the papers and reveal the surfboard. Dana really likes the present and say, "Perfect!"
Dani Rojas arrives at the Higgins' home with Jan Maas, and Richard Montlaur along with his date, and they all brings some traditional food from their countries. Dani thanked the family for invited him because his mother worries that he would be alone on Christmas. He brings a bowl of Mexican Ponche, which is a Mexican Christmas Punch which they can add some Tequila. Julie comments that the bowl already smell of Tequila, which he happily agrees. During dinner, she is drinking the Mexican Ponche with Dani. Higgins then acknowledge the players that it is an honor to have them with the family to share the traditions and make new ones. After the toast, the family and the players heard Rebecca and Ted singing with a bunch of street buskers outside their house. Everyone goes outside and happily singing and dancing together in the street.
Higgins is telling the story to Rebecca of how he met Julie; during the punk era, he was in a pub and played air bass when the song "She's A Rainbow" by The Rolling Stones came on, but he had a pint in his hand and ended up pouring beer all over his head. Everyone in the pub laughed except one person who handed him a damp bar towel - it was Julie. They are now have been happily married for 30 years.
Before a game, Higgins is waiting for Julie at the stadium and sees her wearing blue sweater, blue jeans, and blue parka - matches by the song lyrics. They both hug each other then walk to the VIP seating area together.
