Lindsay Higgins is a minor recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, a vicar / priest, and Leslie Higgins' oldest son with his wife, Julie Higgins. According to his mother, his son is a cool priest and was conceived out of wedlock, which allows a space for them to explore life's little grey areas. He is also apparently, a more forgiving than other vicars.
He first appears during episode ten season one as he attends, along with his four siblings, the important season-ending AFC Richmond match against Manchester City F.C. to avoid relegation to the Championship. Rebecca Welton notes the number of children Higgins has and exclaim "Jesus Christ!" just as Lindsay enters the VIP area wearing the priest collar. Lindsay greets her and Keeley Jones as he take his seat, while Rebecca mutters, "Forgive me, Father..."
During Christmas time, the family spends time together and invites AFC Richmond players from abroad England for a Christmas dinner. He, Kris Higgins, and Terry Higgins are playing nerf war with Thierry Zoreaux and Dani Rojas, and it seems they are having fun. His younger brother Dana Higgins play a video game with Richard Montlaur. His other brother, Steve Higgins is watching Richard's beautiful date, Emmanuel, in awe.
When the rest of the team arrives at the dinner party, he seems overwhelmed but very welcoming nonetheless.
During dinner, he is drinking a bottle of beer with Declan Cockburn at the pool table while his mother is drinking the Mexican Ponche with Dani. Higgins then acknowledge the players that it is an honor to have them with the family to share the traditions and make new ones. After the toast, the family and the players heard Rebecca and Ted Lasso singing with a bunch of street buskers outside their house. Everyone goes outside and happily singing and dancing together in the street.
He is last seen chatting with Colin Hughes and Michael at his father's BBQ Party where the rest of the Richmond players and their partners attends.
