Moe Bumbercatch is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, and a footballer who played Centre Midfield for AFC Richmond. He is usually seen along with other team members and participates in group activities such as karaoke and dancing in clubs. He is close with Sam Obisanya, Thierry Zoreaux, Richard Montlaur, Dani Rojas, Jan Maas, Isaac McAdoo, Tommy Winchester, and Colin Hughes.
During the Trick Plays meeting, he suggests "The Broken Tap" as one of the elaborate set pieces. He explains that the opponent would leak a lot of goals from a game.
One of Moe's hobbies is knitting, which he said that it soothes him down. During Christmas time, he knits a scarf with the colors of Wales' flag for Colin, which he happily accepts.
He confronts Jamie Tartt for hitting on his mother, Janet. After a while, it seems he has forgiven him and he is seen to be hanging out with Jamie and the rest of the team players.
After their devastating loss against Manchester City F.C. during the FA Cup semi-final, James Tartt burst into their locker room and starts insulting Jamie and the rest of the team players, ended up with the old man getting punched by his son. The players are stunned and not able to do anything about it, however at the same time he, Declan Cockburn, and Paul Reynolds want to help Jamie but they get restrained by Jack Dawkins and Kukoč so the situation won't escalate.
Moe seems to have a sense of loyalty as he has been very supportive to other team members like Sam and Dani, especially those from outside England. He is respectful towards his coach and doesn't appreciate what happened when Trent Crimm published an article about Ted Lasso's panic attack and wants to seek an act of revenge against the anonymous source. He yells, "FOLLOW THE MONEY!"
He is seen leaps into Roy Kent embrace as they celebrating the club's victory against Brentford F.C. in the field.
When Zava joins Richmond, just like every team players, they are very smitten and in awe to see the superstar player in the locker room. And when the new player brings so many goals, he and the rest of the players are following his lifestyle by doing some meditations.
During the match against West Ham United F.C., Richmond lost at the first half-time game. To inspire the team, the coaches including Coach Beard shows them a video of Nate ripping the BELIEVE sign to half, but it backfired as the players are pissed and they starts to play rough and chaotic. Moe slides and tackles an opponent very roughly, it earns him a red card, and he's out of the game, it even surprises football commentators Arlo White and Chris Powell.

Richmond loses the first half against Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and when the players returns to the locker room, everyone is confused with Isaac's behavior especially after he got a red card for fighting a fan. Ted Lasso asks what happened, and Isaac tells him that the fan said something ignorant, which confuses everyone after Sam tells them that the fan said the "F" word, but it's not "Fuck". Jamie says that they should just ignore people like that, but Isaac angrily says that they shouldn't because what if there's a gay person in the team?
Isaac storms out from the locker room, and Moe thinks aloud that maybe Isaac is gay, hence the anger. The coaches think they should support Isaac for being gay, but Colin confesses that it's not their former captain who is gay, but it's him. He challenges everyone whether they are cool for finding out that he's gay, and to his surprise everyone seems okay about it, including Moe. The players says that they don't care whether Colin is gay or not, but Ted corrects them that they do care about him; that Colin will never be alone again with this fact and they will support him no matter what. Later on, Isaac and Colin are best friend again, and they are talking about how Moe Bumbercatch is actually fit or sexy in all of Richmond players.
In the Richmond dressing room, players discuss the International Break and Coach Beard reads out who will be playing to the respective countries, and Moe is going to play to his own country, Switzerland. Ted is surprised to find out that Moe is Swiss, but Moe gestures to himself like it's very obvious that he's from Switzerland.
