Ted Lasso Wiki

Paul La Fleur is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso. A die-hard AFC Richmond fan, Paul watches matches with his friends Baz and Jeremy in The Crown & Anchor. Although physically he is a lot bigger than his best friends and the rest of the patrons, he is actually the nicest than the rest of the group. He usually compliments Ted Lasso and the team even when they are losing matches.

When they announced that Ted Lasso and Coach Beard are coming to England from USA to train AFC Richmond, everyone voices their objection against the American coaches, especially when they watches Ted's interview about how much he doesn't know anything about football. When everybody cursing Ted left and right, Paul claims that Ted looks nice.

Even when Ted comes over to the pub with his wife Michelle Lasso and his son Henry Lasso, Paul greets the coach politely while his friends mock the coach. Mae gives Henry some darts and tells him to play, and not to hit the regulars. Unfortunately, that is what he's done, as he accidentally hit Paul in the arm.

After some losses and wins, Paul and his friends comes over to Beard and Ted to say 'thanks' for all of the efforts and they know that they did their best, although their best are still shit, which Paul chides Baz not to be rude. They and Mae tells the Americans that they shouldn't hope to win because the hopes only will have a disappointing result.

Baz, Paul, and Jeremy met Beard at The Crown & Anchor after AFC Richmond lost the game to Manchester City F.C. in the FA Cup. The trio discusses for a while about things other than the game, until Beard decides to take them all out on a night out that would take them to a place they would never dare go.

The four of them goes to Bones and Honey, a high class club, and pretending to be Oxford graduates. Beard leaves them in the pub, and they are actually having some fun and wins some pool bets from other patrons. They rent a limo, and finds Beard who is walking alone in the street. They drop Beard off his home, but as a thank you, he gives them a piece of paper which to be given to Renee, a groundskeeper at Nelson Road Stadium to let them spending some time inside the field.

During the match against Brentford, Richmond is able to score a goal and it leads them closer to their club's promotion. They finally win the match in a tie, and everyone is celebrating. All the patrons from the pub including Paul are singing "We are going up!"
