Scott Van Pelt is a real-life American TV host of sports news show SportsCenter on ESPN, and a minor character featured in the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso. He breaks the news about Theodore "Ted" Lasso, the Head Coach of Wichita State University football team Wichita State Shockers accepting a Manager position for AFC Richmond in the UK.
According to him, Ted is moving to London to coach Richmond football club that has been struggling in the Premier League.
Scott reports that recently the coach leading the Division II Wichita State Shockers to their first ever National title in American football. Ted took the Shockers from a garbage program all the way to the promised land of national league in his first season as the head coach.
But Scott convinces the viewers that is not the reason why people loves Ted Lasso. For him, personally, it's when Ted celebrating a moment of joy with his team. He then shows a viral video of Ted dancing in the middle of room surrounded by football players who are encouraging him and being happy for winning the title.
The TV host wishes Ted good luck with the most beautiful game of soccer or football and tells him to make Americans proud. He ends the segment saying, "Go 'Murica."
