She is a resident of Richmond upon Thames and approximately around sixteen years of age and in Year 11 or 12. She is a football fan and is usually seen around the neighborhood with her soccer ball.

She is one of the few Richmondites who isn't particularly bothered by Ted's lack of skill in football at the start of his first season with AFC Richmond, which made them fast friends. Ted first encounters her by chance while walking around the neighborhood and engages her in some friendly one-on-one football, even though he's not very good.

While Ted bids goodbye to Michelle Lasso, Shannon is seen playing ball with Henry Lasso nearby. Ted thanks her for distracting his son while the parents having a serious conversation.

Sometime later, when Coach Beard is unable to join Ted for their regular morning coffee walk due to issues with his then-girlfriend Jane Payne, Shannon brings Ted coffee on Beard's behalf. She and Ted banter over when Richmond will win a match after a series of ties and losses.

She and her friends excitedly attends the final match between Richmond and West Ham United F.C. for the Premier League rank and rooting for the home club very hard along with other fans at Nelson Road Stadium. Shannon is wearing a Isaac McAdoo's jersey and dancing with her friends happily.

Shannon is last seen attending a book signing of Trent Crimm's new book "The Richmond Way" at the Richmond upon Thames local bookstore. Trent signs her book with the word 'GOAL' on the first page.

Notes[]

  • Initially credited as "Soccer Girl", Ted quietly calls her "Shannon" in "Tan Lines", after her actor. She is credited as "Shannon" the following season in "Do the Right-est Thing."
