Steve "Stevie" Higgins is a recurring character featured in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, and one of Leslie Higgins' children with his wife, Julie Higgins.
He first appears during episode three of series one, sitting at the table, eating breakfast with his family and he listens to his father talking to Rebecca Welton in a flustered way on the phone. When his father runs off to work leaving their children at the table, Steve only shakes his head seeing his father's behavior. It seems it's not the first time that his father being yelled by his boss.
When the other family's car is being fixed, his mother takes his father to the Nelson Road Stadium office before she takes him and the brothers to school in the morning. He says "Whatever" when his mother tells them to thanked their father for fixing the car, and then watches Ted Lasso bumps his head on the door frame of the office building.
He attends along with his four siblings the crucial AFC Richmond game against Manchester City F.C. in an effort to avoid relegation. At the VIP balcony, Higgins introduces his family to Rebecca and Keeley Jones, which his boss makes a comment that he has a lot of children more than she realised.
Steve looks exactly like Higgins, his father, especially when he also wears a glasses. It seems he is the shy one in the family, but sometimes utters some one-liners.
During Christmas time, the family spends time together and invites AFC Richmond players from abroad England for a Christmas dinner. He lets Richard Montlaur, Jane Payne, Dani Rojas, and Emmanuel in the house, and immediately smitten with Richard's tall date. While waiting for dinner, his brothers are playing with other players, but Steve only watches Emmanuel in awe, especially when she is quietly sipping her glass of red wine and dip a stick of cinnamon.
During dinner, Steve keeps staring at Emmanuel and hardly notices when his youngest brother Terry Higgins is trying to take a sip of champagne.
After the toast, the family and the players heard Rebecca and Ted singing with a bunch of street buskers outside their house. Everyone goes outside and happily singing and dancing together in the street.
He is last seen spending time with his family and helping his dad cook at the family BBQ party. The boy has grown up and is taller compare to the previous years. Steve is staring at Richard's new date, and it seems he is smitten.
